Calling all football fans!! It’s your time to get on the field. The Blazers Athletics Department is super excited to announce that for the first time ever there will be a girls flag football team. 

This project has been in the works for some time now, and I had the opportunity to talk with Coach Carioto about plans for this fall. 

“For the past 8 months we’ve been focusing on adding additional sports to encourage more participation and provide more opportunities for Hathaway Brown students. If we have enough interest, we will have a Varsity and JV team. We really hope that you join!”

This marks a progressive moment in sports. Following the women’s soccer league equal pay, it is time for more equality within all sports.

The athletic department is undergoing the hiring process. This includes conducting interviews which will involve interested student athletes.
