The most regal of life givers
Rule the heavens for billions of years
The most measly of peasants roam the earth
A paltry 24 hours, frantic to give birth
Fierce beings with crowns of gold
Roar with strength and command, so bold
Songs of night echo through dark shadows
As beautiful soloists leave listeners on heaven’s throes
Guardians of the earth circle the skies
Broad-shouldered beings like a phoenix rise
Far below, man believes his existence to be truest
Defying nature’s laws of age and disease, almost a mutant
But existence as natural, essential, true as another’s
Set aside pride and ego, live as sisters and brothers
