I hope everyone is healthy and doing well during this quarantine!! I know it is hard to find ways to NOT be bored, so here are a few ideas that can help make your time more fun!

  1. Go on runs/walks, take advantage of the great weather!

We have had some beautiful days outside.  Getting outside and a breath of fresh air can brighten the rest of your day and make you feel super refreshed!  Most parks are still open; spending time in nature will make things better.

  1. Bake/cook!

Even if you don’t cook like Gordon Ramsey, learning new skills is always a good way to pass time AND create some delicious food!  I’ve personally been using All Recipes to experiment with cooking, and have been making lots of chocolate chip cookies. It’s sad that we have to be in quarantine, but you may as well walk out with a new hobby!!

  1. Rearrange your room!

Sometimes change is a good thing.  Rearranging your room can make you excited and gives you a project to work on.  Look around the house or in storage rooms, see if you can bring a new piece of furniture into the mix.  You never know, you might find a better layout!

  1. Family Movies

My family and I have been watching one new movie every night.  There from all sorts of genres and a variety of decades. It is fun to see what you like, maybe it will be something you would have not picked on your own and you may end up liking it!  Plus, it is a great way to bond with your family.

  1. Chalk your driveway

Online, my sisters and I have seen some pretty cool sidewalk chalk designs and we decided to try some on our driveway.  You can put down tap and color outside of it to create crisp lines. Here’s an example:

  1.  Try doing some other kinds of art- painting, drawing, bracelet making

Even if you aren’t the most “crafty” person, art for fun is always a good way to expand your horizons! It is also super relaxing.  Turn on some calm music in the background, and 2 hours will go by before you know it!

  1. Zoom or facetime with some friends

Keeping in touch with people is a healthy way for us all to stay in routine.  It is always good to catch up with friends-my friends and I decided to do a virtual game night, which ended up being really fun!

I hope this helped, and gave you some ideas of things to do! I wish everyone health and safety and hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.
