Do you believe in ghosts? Showed in a recent poll of 1,000 people, 43% of people are said to believe in ghosts or dead spirits. Ghosts are an apparition of a dead person which is believed to appear or become manifest to the living. However, is there actual evidence supporting the claim of real-life ghosts? Yes.

In 2009 a Pew Research Poll found that 29% of people have felt as if they were being watched or even touched by a spirit and 18% of people have had a real-life ghost encounter. If ghosts were not actually real, then why has the myth of ghosts continued to be passed down from generation to generation? The answer is because the stories are true.

Several stories have been shared about real-life experiences. An anonymous user told her story of a time, when she was with her daughter alone in her house. The two sat in the daughter’s room, sharing a mother-daughter bonding moment. Together they named all of the stuffed animals present in the room. When all of the stuffed animals had been named, the daughter says,  “We didn’t name that one.” “What?”, says the mother. The daughter then points to her open closet and says, “That little girl.” The mother looked behind her and there was nothing that represented a “little girl”. A dead spirit was made present to the daughter.

Another story that my dad actually experienced, still gives me chills. As a younger teen, he along with his friends decided to participate in a dare that involved the ouija board. Continually asking questions, the board eventually spelled out “fire”. Not thinking anything of the game, all the boys, including my dad, went to bed. At about 3 am in the morning, my dad woke up to the smell of something burning. Somehow a fire had started in the kitchen. Coincidence? I think not.

Whether you believe in paranormal activity or not. Still today, there are events that  cannot be explained. And paranormal activity could be the reason why.
