Seattle is one of the most underrated cities in the US. Often overlooked for other cities on the West Coast, Seattle is one you don’t want to miss. Here are 3 things you definitely shouldn’t miss in Seattle.
- Pike Place Market
This is a classic, but you can’t miss it. Most popular sites in cities are overrated, but Pike Place Market actually lives up to its reputation. It’s lined with unique stores and cute little shops, as well as, of course, the market. Devote at least part of your day to exploring it.
These are some flowers that were on sale when I visited.
2. Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum
There is a reason that the Space Needle is not on this list. Yeah, it’s nice, but it’s also overhyped, crowded, overpriced, and boring. Instead, you could walk past it and approximately 2 minutes later you will come across the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum! This is a much better use of your time. It is full of breathtaking works of blown-glass art.
This was one of my favorite works in the museum.
3.Mount Rainer
Technically, this is not in Seattle. However, it’s close enough, only a two hour drive away, that you should visit if you’re in the area/ It’s truly beautiful, and you can do as much or as little actual hiking as you want. Either way, you’ll be surrounded by the unique flora and fauna.
