Recently, there has been a lot of drama and injuries in the NFL. From torn ligaments in thumbs to leaving teams over helmets, football has seen a lot of drama in recent weeks.
Antonio Brown has gained a lot of attention in the past few weeks. After being accused of sexual assault, he was then cute by the Patriots and announced that he would no longer be playing in the NFL since “these owners can cancel deals do whatever they want at anytime” He previously was on the Raiders, but decided to leave due to him not wanting to wear a new helmet. He is currently filing nine grievances worth over $61 million.
Our very own Baker Mayfield has been in some drama himself. He involved himself in the AB drama by essentially subtweeting him on a comment under his post by saying “You’re right… Let me call out my teammates and throw a fit about my helmet, then go freeze my feet off.” AB was not too happy about this and responded with “Should of never been drafted before Lamar Jackson what a big scam” after originally tweeting something that was not too kind.
Lots of QBs have been injured recently as well. Cam Newton is out for 4-8 weeks for a foot injury, while Drew Brees had to get thumb surgery and is expected back in at most 8 weeks. Mitch Trubisky went down after a strip sack and tore his labrum and will most likely be back during Week 7. Nick Foles is out for a long time after suffering a broken clavicle. Ben Roethlisberger will probably be out for the rest of the season after an elbow injury which he suffered throwing a ball.
