Personally, I feel like there’s always something that goes wrong at the Grammy Awards. This year, it was the red carpet outfits. Although tends to be a bad outfit or two every year, I found this year especially bad. From Cardi B’s Ursula-inspired ensemble to Katy Perry’s bold pink look, here are some of the red carpet fails of the 2019 Grammys:

  1. Cardi B

Cardi’s look this year was most DEFINITELY a flop. This Archival Mugler design, which could possibly be paying homage to Ursula or some type of shell, had all eyes on Cardi as she made her way down the red carpet. And how is she supposed to sit in her seat?

2. Jennifer Lopez

This Grammy look had the potential of being on the best dressed list. The big floppy hat was what brought its downfall. J-Lo’s Ralph and Russo ensemble just didn’t work out.

3. St. Vincent

Designed by Giambattista Valli, this outfit was definitely unique, with its strong pattern and large cape. It looks too overwhelming, along with the fact that it is probably super hot, heavy, and hard to sit in.

4. Kylie Jenner

Kylie’s baby pink ensemble just didn’t work well, with the oddly shaped top that connected to gloves. It also looks quite uncomfortable to sit in.

5. Katy Perry

As soon as she hit the red carpet, Katy Perry’s dress became a meme that spread across the internet like wildfire. Many people noticed how her dress almost looks like it could be a paint roller, and I can’t disagree. This dress also looks very uncomfortable to sit in.
