Over the summer, I fell in love with The Crown. I watched both seasons one and two on Netflix, and am extremely excited for what season three will entail. What I like about The Crown is that I know what’s going to happen, because it is a show based off the royal family in the UK. What I’m nervous for in this season is the change of characters. This coming season, the timeline is shifting forward into the 1960s, while the last two seasons focused on the initial start of Queen Elizabeth’s reign, in the 1950s. Because of this, the show has acquired all new leads, that are older. Here are pictures of the new and older leads:
This new queen looks pretty accurate, and I’m excited to see her role in the new season.
I’m not a fan of this season’s new Phillip. He definitely doesn’t look like Phillip as much as Matt Smith, who played the Prince in the last two seasons.
Compared to Vanessa Kirby, who played Margaret in the first two seasons, I don’t think this new lead resembles the Princess at all.
Besides my slight concern about main characters, I still have faith that the show will still pull through and be a hit once again in the new season.
