1. The Great Gatsby
Genre: Drama
Nick Carraway arrives in New York to find the American dream. He moves into the house next to a millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy. While living next to Gatsby he is pulled into his parties and experiences high status society. Along with the wealth and glory, Carraway also bears witness to the drama and tragedy of Gatsby’s life. We give this movie a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because of its exciting plot throughout the whole movie.
2. Endless Love
Genre: Romance
After graduation, a privileged girl invests her summer in a boy with a troubling past. Although, they quickly fall in love, her father disapproves and starts to unravel the boy’s past. This movie is filled with numerous mysterious and so many twists and turns. It is filled with romance and heartache. Do you think they will end up together? We give this movie a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars because it’s the perfect mix between romance and drama.
3. Unbroken
Genre: Drama/ Sport
Louie, an Olympic track star, enlists into the military during WWII. After his fighter plane is shot down over the Pacific, he and a few other of of the crew are left adrift on a safety raft. After surviving for 47 days, the Japanese navy captured and sent them to POW camps. This movie shows the dramatic and unbelievable journey that Louie takes. We give this movie a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it’s a very inspiring true story.
4. Kingsman
Genre: Action
A young man named Eggsy Unwin is recruited to be a trainee in the secret service. Meanwhile, the so-called Valentine creates a deadly device and he has a plan to unleash it upon the world unless the secret service can stop it. This action-packed movie has a great story plot, and the effects and stunts are so interesting and cool as well. This is for sure a movie to see if you haven’t yet. We give this movie a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars because of the amazing action affects.
5. The Strangers
Genre: Horror
Based on a true story of a couple going to an abandoned home and being terrorized by three people. The movie is filled with jump scares and suspense. It is a great movie to watch with your friends. Will you get scared? We give this movie a rating of 4 out 5 stars because it keeps you at the edge of your seat.
