Over the years I have tried many sports including soccer, volleyball, basketball, swimming. The first time I joined track was last year in 8th grade. The main reason why I had chosen to do the sport was because many of my friends were doing it, and I thought it was going to be a fun and enlightening experience. Which it was, the sport definitely exceeded my expectations, and I do not regret joining. The sport is not only a fun experience where you get to have new experiences with friends, but you also get to meet other people. Running is an amazing sport, and the good part is you only need a good pair of sneakers to be able to do it. You don’t have to have a bunch of other equipment. It is always such a fun time cheering and supporting your teammates. The relays are also so much fun to compete in, and as soon as you pass the baton to your teammate it’s always exciting to cheer them on.
Track isn’t the only fun running sport around, there’s also cross country, and if you really love running, Indoor track! All of them are so much fun to participate in, and they’re a good way of destressing, and thinking about something other than school and all of the homework you have to do later. For me running is a way to relax and have a good time with friends. It’s a way to become less stressed and a way to get away from homework, tests, and projects for a couple of hours. Basically, it’s a good way to procrastinate and relax. Running is an enjoyable sport and I would encourage everyone to do it. The best part of the sport is the sense of community where everyone is welcoming and enthusiastic. In fact, there are many people on the team that made me want to push myself become better and run that extra mile. Overall, I encourage everyone to join it’s always so much fun, and everyone is always welcomed!!!!
