Golden Globes Times Up

Typically, a Golden Globes related article would be a recap of the winners, gowns, and celebrities with great speeches. However, the 2018 Golden Globes were less about the superficial and more about current events. In the past few years, actors, directors and other members of the industry have been accused of sexual assault. This is an issue that has affected the integrity of the industry. The women at the awards this year all chose to wear black, in order to bring awareness to the issue, and the men wore “times up” pins on their black suits. Women who are members are, Natalie Portman, Emma Stone, Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon.

The show stopper, of course, was Oprah Winfrey with her acceptance of the Cecil B. DeMille Award.
