Get Ready for all the Amazing Food

Upon popular request, someone inspired me to write an article about fun places in Cleveland to visit. From small restaurants to cute cafes, these food joints will give you the most Insta and Snap-worthy stories.

Russo’s

Address: 4895 State Rd, Peninsula, OH 44264

Russo’s is a lively restaurant located in the middle of nowhere in Akron that has food bursting with flavor. My personal favorites are the famous Gumbo and Jambalaya with Oysters for Marty. The dessert menu has a special story. A woman that has worked in Russo’s kitchen for years making their famous sauces was given the opportunity to make desserts by the owner. At first, she was hesitant, as I would be too, but she thrived and now makes all of the desserts on the menu herself. I suggest the German Chocolate Cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is the perfect place for date night, a cozy family dinner, or a stress-free dinner with friends. (Make sure to set a reservation especially on weekend afternoons)

Architectural Justice

Address: 13593 Pearl Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136

Not only is this a café but it is also a home décor store. It is a very elegant with the white marble stairs, gold accents, and neutral color scheme. Honestly the atheistic is something I personally love. This café is my favorite spot for Sunday Brunch. I recommend the Chicken and Waffles, because it gives the perfect amount of sweet and salty with a hint of spice. Pair this dish with a macchiato (classic) and a glass of water and it will give you the best Sunday pick me up. If you have a sweet tooth, I recommend the crème brûlée with vanilla gelato. (This is also a great place to study on weekdays)

Angelo’s Nido Italia

Address: 12020 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland, OH 44106

http://www.nidoitalia.com

This place holds such a special place in my heart. This is a classic Italian restaurant and the ambient setting perfect for date night or a dinner with family. I highly recommend the Clam Sauce with white wine sauce. (This is not for everybody) The salad here has to be eaten with their house dressing. You will thank me later. If seafood is not your thing, the Jumbo Meat Ravioli is also just as amazing.

The Plum Café & Kitchen

Address: 4133 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113

The interior of this café is very clean and white. This would be a great place for Saturday or Sunday Brunch. There is also outside seating perfect for a sunny day. (fingers crossed) I would recommend the Catfish Nuggets with a New York Seltzer Raspberry to drink. I could see this café set for an older crowd due to the extensive alcohol list, but the food is worth a try.

Peachtree Southern Kitchen & Cocktails

Address:  200 N Main St, Hudson, OH 44236

I have never been here but I’ve heard some good things about this restaurant from a few seniors. It seems to have a very homey feel. If anyone goes, they should write a restaurant review. I would love to try the Shrimp and Grits, Catfish Tots and Pickled Peppers, & Chicken and Waffles.

Nauti Mermaid

Address: 1378 W 6th St, Cleveland, OH 44113

Hands down the place I go when I have a deep craving for oysters. Here you can find shrimp and crab. (Can you tell that I love seafood?) This is a very fun place to go with friends if you’re in the downtown area, but make sure there’s not a big home game. Trust me, it can get seriously crowded. This isn’t like most of the other cafes. It has a different “vibe” if you will, but if you want a quick place to eat. I highly recommend. (especially if you want clams)

Blue Point Grill

Address: 700 W St Clair Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113

http://www.bluepointgrille.com

If you are a seafood lover. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is quite fancy but just make you set reservations. There is a bar area to the left and a spacious dining room to the right. If you are celebrating and love seafood, I highly recommend. (They might have a dress code… beware)

Beau’s Grille

Address: 3180 W Market St, Akron, OH 44333

http://www.beausgrille.com/menus.html

This restaurant is at the Hilton Garden Inn in Akron. There is an outside lounge area that is incredibly spacious, a bar area to the left (where the live band usually is), and the regular seating area in the middle of the restaurant. I recommend the Fresh Cajun Dusted Salmon

Salmon, Panko-Crusted Chicken Parmesan, and any of the steaks. Hands down the best steaks ever.

Bourbon Street Barrel Room

Address: 2393 Professor Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113

Regan Krist went here for her birthday dinner (Happy birthday freshman buddy!)  and her Snap Story made me so jealous. I will definitely be going to give this restaurant a try.

M Italian

Address: 22 W Orange St, Chagrin Falls, OH 44022

Callie posted a picture here and it looks so amazing. Perfect for Saturday Brunch with friends. Hands down, I will be going here this Saturday!
