New Spots to Work Out in Cleveland

According to Cleveland Scene magazine, the occupancy rate for residential buildings in downtown Cleveland is nearing almost 98 percent. With an increase in demand for more apartment and condominium complexes, young people are moving in everyday and looking for new things to do, including social and fun ways to workout. Listed below are Cleveland’s hottest new boutique studios to try out:

This multi-use workout studio opened its first studio a few years ago in Canton, Ohio. Realizing the energy and vibrancy radiating from downtown Cleveland, the owner decided to open up a new studio on Prospect Avenue. Classes include Barre, Pilates, aerial yoga, Lyra hoop, and antigravity suspension training. Classes are held everyday seven days a week. Plus, there are monthly memberships for high school and college students!

This cycling studio began three years ago in the Ohio City neighborhood. Harness Cycle believes that a strong community begins with movement. Classes begin at five in the morning, and end at seven in the evening. Whether you want to grab a class after school or on the weekends, Harness Cycle is the perfect way to sweat and rejuvenate! High school students receive a $5 drop-in rate every day. The downtown location will be opening up sometime in late March.

Inner Bliss Yoga is the newest neighbor on Huron Road! While they have locations in Rocky River and Westlake, Inner Bliss saw the enthusiasm from residents downtown and opened this location within the past month. This yoga studio offers daily classes including hot yoga, yoga flow, and slow yoga. All levels are welcome.

One of the east side’s most popular cycling and workout studios, GrooveRyde is expanding its second level studio to the streets of downtown Cleveland. GrooveRyde is currently located on Chagrin Avenue offering classes from 60-minute cycle to beat boxing and boot camps. Classes are offered seven days a week and provide discounted prices for high school students.
