K-drama, or Korean drama, usually deals with love stories. They are extremely sweet and fun to watch. Here is a list of my favorite k-dramas of all time:
Descendants of the Sun
Descendants of the Sun tells the story between a soldier and a surgeon. They first met in a Korean hospital. Soon they started dating but broke up. Eight months later, when both of them serve the military in Middle East, they meet each other in Uruk, Iraq.
Master’s Sun
Master’s Sun tells the story of a woman who could see ghosts. But when she touches a man named Joo Joong-won the ghosts disappear. She begins to follow Joo Joong-won in order to avoid seeing the spirits, and a romantic relationship develops.
City Hunter
City Hunter started with the true Rangoon Bombing, when north Korean government planned to assassinate south Korean president in 1983. The fictional story begins when several south Korean are sent to assassinate north Korean top officials for revenge. However, when these people arrive at north Korea, south Korean government refused to support them anymore. Only one person survived and escaped to southeast Asia, and he raised a little boy to revenge the south Korean government.
My Love From the Star
This is a cute romantic story between an alien and an actress. Do Min-joon landed on earth more than 400 years ago and encountered Song-yi right before planning to go back to his planet. They hated each other at first, but then they changed their minds as they got to know more about each other. Although it might sound a little bit weird, it is really good and definitely it’s one of my favorite shows of all time!
