We’re back! Caroline and Izzy are here to give you more suggestions and advice on the food scene in CLE! Below are a few more of some of Cleveland’s hottest restaurants and cafés:

  • Luxe

Located in Cleveland’s up and coming Gordon Square neighborhood, Luxe is a trendy restaurant filled with great, cool foods. Known for their inventive pizzas, Luxe has a menu that is sure to satisfy any Cleveland foodie. Our recommendations: get the sweet potato wedges to start, then move onto the prosciutto pizza, and finish strong with an order of beignets.

  • Sweet Moses

Sweet Moses, an old-fashioned soda fountain and treat shop, is located right across the street from Luxe in the same Gordon Square neighborhood. This place has everything from ice cream, to milk shakes, to a New York Egg Cream, to fresh pie, peanut-butter sandwiches, and hand-crafted sundaes. Our recommendation: the Shoreway Sundae.

  • L’Albatros Brasserie

A staple of fine-dining in Cleveland, chances are you have already been to this University Circle French restaurant. However, L’Albatros is just so good that it’s about time you head back! With stylish decor, great cheese plates, and excellent French foods, chances are you will have some trouble standing up after this meal. Our recommendation: pick your own cheese plate to share, have a frisée salad (with bacon!), and then finish off on a fruity note with a frozen lemon soufflé.

  • The Greenhouse Tavern

Nestled between the hustle and bustle of Downtown Cleveland’s East 4th street, The Greenhouse Tavern is the perfect place for great, seasonal food. With a menu that changes with the season, our recommendation for this Cleveland food landmark would be to go with whatever looks best for you! One recommendation we can make, however, is to sit outside if the weather is nice. Soak up nighttime Cleveland with great people watching and an even better vibe.

  • Anatolia Café

Located on Lee Road in Cleveland Heights, anyone looking to try some global cuisine should visit Anatolia Café. This Turkish restaurant has some of the best falafel in the city, not to mention a variety of other delicious dishes. Our recommendation: one appetizer order of the falafel, the chicken adana with yogurt for a main meal, and a decadent kadayif for dessert.

  • New on the scene: Mabel’s BBQ

Featured today as our new restaurant spotlight, Mabel’s BBQ is Iron Chef and Cleveland celebrity Michael Symon’s new restaurant. Opening in a chic new location on East 4th Street Downtown, Mabel’s BBQ is promising to satisfy any meat lover’s craving. With its motto being “This is Cleveland,” Mabel’s offers sandwiches for lunch and meat plates for dinner. Although we have yet to try this restaurant, the lines out the door are already a testament to its success!
