Fall. Fun. FOOD!!!

As the days get shorter, the nights get colder, and the workload at The Hath rapidly increases, here are some exciting and very delicious recipes to try!

  1. Pumpkin Bars

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1, 16 oz. can of pumpkin
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Blend together eggs, sugar, oil, and pumpkin until it is light in color and consistency
  • Add in other ingredients
  • Spread batter onto an ungreased pan
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes
  • Frost and enjoy!

Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Directions:

  • Mix together ingredients
  • Frost the Pumpkin Bars, enjoy!
  1. Candy Corn Pretzel Fudge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 ½ cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 tub marshmallow fluff

Directions:

  • Place parchment paper on a 9×9 pan
  • Put the white marshmallow fluff and white chocolate chips in a bowl, set aside
  • Put the candy corn and pretzels in a bowl, set aside
  • In a pan, melt the sugar, heavy cream, salt, and butter on medium heat, until it starts to boil. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Pour the melted mix into the bowl of chocolate chips, and mix. Continue to mix this until it is smooth and soft
  • Fold in almost all of the pretzels and candy corn
  • Pour this into the pan
  • Sprinkle the rest of the candy corn and pretzels on top to decorate the fudge
  • Refrigerate for 3-5 hours
  • Enjoy!

  1. Apple Cider Float

Ingredients:

  • Apple Cider
  • Ice Cream
  • Carmel ice cream topping
  • Cinnamon

Directions:

  • In a glass, place two scoops of ice cream
  • Drizzle a spoonful of caramel topping on top of the ice cream
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon to the top
  • Pour in the apple cider, until the ice cream is covered
  • Add another scoop of ice cream
  • Drizzle another spoonful of caramel
  • Add another pinch of cinnamon
  • Serve cold
  • Enjoy!

  1. Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Ingredients:

  • 2 large packages of milk chocolate chips
  • 2 large packages of white chocolate chips
  • Festive colored sprinkles
  • Large pretzel rods

Directions:

  • Melt the white chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips in separate pans
  • Once the chocolates are melted, take a pretzel rod, and dip it into the chocolate, so that it is mostly covered in chocolate
  • While the chocolate is still warm on the pretzel, decorate the pretzel with sprinkles
  • Make more pretzels
  • Let chill for about 2 hours in the refrigerator
  • Enjoy!
