The HB Swim and Dive Team had a great showing this weekend at the Division II Ohio State meet. The team came in 3rd place overall behind the meet champions Hawken, and the tie for second place between Columbus School for Girls and Cincinnati Mariemont. The meet started out on a great note with our medley relay team, consisting of Julia Armitage, Mary Motch, Maggie Cha, and Iman Eulinberg, placing 3rd. The 200 free relay, with the same members as the medley relay, came in 5th. The meet finished with the 400 free relay, including Molly Paine, Nell Bruckner, Catherine Mullen, and Erin Xu, who finished 11th. The individual results were as follows:

  • Iman Eulinberg: placed 16th in the 50 free and 14th in the 500 free
  • Julia Armitage: placed 5th in the 200IM and 6th in the 500 free
  • Mary Motch: placed 6th in the 50 free and 8th in the 100 free
  • Maggie Cha: placed 9th in the 50 free and 11th in the 100 free
  • Molly Paine: placed 12th in the 500 free and 11th in the 100 back
  • Emma Borrow: placed 15th in the 100 back
  • Emma Bryan: placed 11th in the 1M Diving

The meet was super exciting and it was the end to a record-breaking season for the Blazers. Congratulations to the team on a great job! I’ll end this with a quote from the fan base: “I was vigorously refreshing my twitter feed to see how my ‘squad’ was doing.”*
