Sports Update: Week of 2-1-15

Don’t have enough time to watch ESPN every night? Want to be able to keep up with the sports world? Here’s a sports update for the week.
The Super Bowl is tonight, but the biggest controversy in football right now is over the AFC Championship Game between the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts. The dispute started after the Patriots won the game, and the NFL announced they were investigating the Patriots for intentionally deflating footballs during the game (say what…?). Who knew there was such a variety of ways to cheat? This controversy aside, the game will be played on Sunday featuring the New England Patriots vs. the Seattle Seahawks. The game starts at 6:30 p.m. with a halftime show featuring the one and only, Katy Perry. Tom Brady is very excited.
Looking good for CLE town right now. Coming off a great win against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Cavs are currently sitting in 5th place overall in the Eastern Conference after 10 (!) straight wins. With new additions in a three-team trade, the team is finally starting to come together. From the New York Knicks we got J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert, and from the Denver Nuggets, we acquired center Timofey Mozgov from the Denver Nuggets after trading Dion Waiters to the Oklahoma City Thunder and a few draft picks. As of now, it’s looking like playoffs for the Cavs! You know what this means: lots of Instagrams. Update: Kevin Love is still very, very attractive.
It’s January. There is no baseball in January. I hope no one thought there was actually baseball.
