Free Time Good Reads

By: Lauren Battle

I think it’s safe to say that most of us here at HB don’t have much free time on our hands. Whether we’re swamped with nightly homework assignments and history essays, or going to sports practice; spare time is a rare and cherished idea. With the fear of not using this time in the best manner, it can be rather difficult to decide what to do when you’ve have… well… nothing to do. Of course catching up last week’s Orange is the New Black, is always an option, or scrolling through your Instagram feed. But it might be nice to change it up from time to time. Sometimes cracking open a book and indulging in some personal reading is fun. And I know what you’re thinking, “I spend all week reading for school, why would I want to read when I don’t have to?” But it can be fun to read when you’re not exactly being told to. There are a lot of great options out there, from sappy romance to gory horror story. Everyone can find a book they will enjoy- all you have to do is look. Our own Ms. Geaghan has even offered up some suggestions for some fun free-time reading suggestions. Who knows, maybe you’ll find your free time good read.
