Galletas de Chocolate con Trocitos Blancos AKA Reverse Chocolate Chip Cookies

You will be appalled by the amount of butter in these cookies, but it’s all worth it because they are “like, so good” in the words of Emily.  A switch from the usual chocolate chip cookie, these delights give 4 times the chocolate, and are 27 times better than that Nestle Tollhouse prepackaged stuff.  Originally in Spanish, this recipe is so out of bounds in the flavor department that it wasn’t even translated to English (a.k.a. it’s so good it’s illegal).  By baking these cookies following the Spanish recipe, you can truly be a model for HB students by learning not for school but for life (#españolskillz).  For those slackers out there, though, we’ll be nice and include the English translation.


2 1/4 tazas de harina para todo uso

2/3 taza de cacao para hornear NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Baking Cocoa

1 cucharadita de bicarbonato de sodio

1/4 cucharadita de sal

1 taza (2 barras) de mantequilla o margarina, ablandada

3/4 taza azúcar granulada

2/3 taza azúcar morena bien compacta

1 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla

2 huevos grandes

2 tazas (paquete de 12 oz.) de trocitos blancos de alta calidad NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Premier White Morsels

1. PRECALIENTA el horno a 350º F.

2. MEZCLA la harina, el cacao, el bicarbonato de sodio y la sal en un tazón pequeño. Bate la mantequilla, la azúcar granulada, la azúcar morena y el extracto de vainilla en un tazón grande para mezclar hasta que quede cremoso. Añade batiendo los huevos. Bate, agregando gradualmente la mezcla de harina. Incorpora los trocitos. Deja caer cucharadas redondas de masa sobre bandejas para hornear sin engrasar.

3. HORNEA las galletas de 9 a 11 minutos o hasta que estén firmes en el centro. Déjalas enfriar en las bandejas para hornear durante 2 minutos; sácalas y déjalas enfriar completamente sobre rejillas de metal.



2 1/ 4 cups all-purpose flour

2/3 cup baking cocoa NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Baking Cocoa

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup (2 sticks ) butter or margarine , softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 cups (pack of 12 oz.) White chip NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE high quality Premier   White Morsels


1. PREHEAT oven to 350 º F.

2. COMBINE flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter , granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Add eggs. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chips. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.

3. BAKE cookies for 9-11 minutes or until firm in the center. Let them cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes, remove to cool completely on wire racks.
